About The Class

The vignette is an interesting and useful way of composing a painting emphasizing design and focusing on subject.

Vignette compositions were once held in esteem and were seen in many prestigious exhibits. Although they have lost favor as exhibition subjects, the underlying principles of their design make them challenging and will expand and develop your composition skills.

The class will show you how create vignettes and strengthen your approach to two-dimensional design.
