About The Class
Artists often comment on “The Golden Hour” as the most magical time of day. This brief period happens shortly after sunrise and shortly before sunset, when the sunlight casts a warm, golden hue that transforms ordinary scenes into extraordinary moments.
This class shows how to capture the golden hour in your paintings. The focus is on golden light and the color combinations and mixtures that work best.
Capturing light has its own challenges. We’ll address those in class as well.
Our subjects will be landscape scenes in autumn and winter, seasons when the golden hour light seems more frequent and accessible.
