“Yellow Farm” - watercolor landscape painting of early spring in Vermont
Painting is 11” x 15” framed to 16” x 20” in a dark brown molding
The arrival of spring in Vermont is always welcome even though it is rugged rather than romantic.
Although spring has the upper hand, most of the season is a conflict between cold and warm, snow and grass, the sun and gloom.
Eventually spring wins. Until it does, the landscape often looks more like late fall or winter. The one clue is the strengthening sunlight and brighter light.
This painting captures the muted color voice and brightening light of a typical Vermont spring.
This painting can be seen in my Studio-Gallery and is available for purchase online.
