Why I Developed Watercolor Mastery
Learning watercolor was a struggle for me. I encountered many obstacles that greatly slowed my progress.
I hoped to find answers and solutions in typical watercolor classes & workshops, but they only got me so far.
Watercolor is a difficult medium with unique working character that is also the source of its beauty.
It turns out that much of what you need to know is not covered in traditional watercolor classes or with traditional watercolor instruction.
So, my watercolor journey became an un-mentored apprenticeship.
My learning and ultimate progress was a result of much trial and much error combined with a constant search for solutions to the problems encountered and errors made. Over time, effort paid off as my ability and progress both increased.
When I began to teach watercolor classes, it quickly became obvious that almost everyone had the same struggles and frustration.
I am determined to make my students watercolor journey easier and faster than mine - it is the foundation of my approach.
It has already helped many become more skilled, more confident and have more fun!
